The SpiceSolutions Supermotoland race team were in action over the weekend at the first round of the Polish Supermoto championship held at the Bydgoszcz circuit in Poland.
Faced with a tight, technical and slippery track, both riders had to Adjust to the conditions and find their feet after a winter of training on the high grip tracks in Spain.
Loris Ford-Dunn was competing in the S1 class and qualified in 4th position and then finished 4th and 3rd in his two races. He had a good weekend but his results could have been better if not for stalling the bike in both races when challenging for positions in the dirt section. The fastest lap of the second race was a consolation prize, but now he looks to improve his off road skills before the next round.
Arek Szwak had a good weekend in the SM Amateur class with constant improvement throughout the weekend on the tricky track. He qualified in 7th and then finished 6th (despite a crash in race 1)and then 5th in his two races, giving him a 5th overall in the Championship standings.
The SpiceSolutions Supermotoland team are back in action on the 2nd June at the SĹ‚omczyn track in Poland for round 2 of the Polish championship. A bigger track that should suit the the teams racers better.
Before then, Loris Ford-Dunn flies back to Spain for the 2nd round of the Spanish SM road championship at the DR7 circuit, situated south of Madrid.
