Supermotoland Husqvarna race report for round 2 of the Spanish supermoto championship.

It was a mixed weekend for the supermotoland Husqvarna race team in both results and weather conditions at the Forcarei race track in Pontevedre , North west Spain.
All team riders experienced one dry race and then race 2 was wet as the clouds rolled in. Loris Ford-Dunn had qualified on the front row of the grid in third position and was running in a strong 3rd position when he crashed out of the race and had to remount to finish 7th. American team mate Will Mcmahon finished in 19th position upon his return from a broken collar bone only 4 weeks ago.
In race 2 the heavens opened and the racers found themselves on slick tires on a soaking track. crashes were a plenty and Loris Ford-Dunn finished 3rd despite a crash and Will Mcmahon DNF’d after a start line crash. A strong weekend from both riders but they both agree that the results were not as good as they could have been.

In the Sm Junior class 17 year old Australian racer Harley Thomas had a great couple of rides. In only his third ever supermoto race the young Australian finished 11th in race one and then in his first ever experience of a wet race, he went P11 again in race 2 with a bike that spent more time sideways than going forward in the wet and muddy conditions.

A great weekends racing for the team. Thx to all the riders, team personnel and sponsors that make the racing possible and we will be training hard this summer until round 3 in September.
